"The Macintosh version is decent; and nicely automated"

by MstrPBK on August 23, 2009

Pros: For persons with hand and muscular problems the automation is a wonderful beginning.

Cons: The program needs considerable improvement:
? Trunks need to be dealt with automatically upon stepping on them; and equipment dispersed buy game rules.
? if you want players to go into dungeons you need more outlets for torches.
(next data pane)
Summary: ? Even in the demo version characters need to hold on to equipment between saves
? Where the h*ll are the torches??? Torches ought not be this hard to find.
? My I suggest that you make use of dungeons and have the player move from map section to map section by means of dungeon. Right now you seem to have a flat world that defies the laws of physics.

The game seems to have a lot of potential. It just needs some decent tweaks.

Ultima III originally was released in 1983

Many of your concerns are valid, but can't really be addressed as LairWare's Ultima III is a faithful update of a very old game, and those concerns would fundamentally change the game from the original.

I'm not sure what is meant by "Even in the demo version characters need to hold on to equipment between saves".
